Completing Forecasting Setup

This screen contains configuration settings for Production Setup for Forecasting Setup. You can enter a default buffer % to be applied to all menu items from the menu for a selected meal in the production worksheet. You can also select to forecast by dining area.

The default buffer % value is applied to all menu items in the production worksheet where buffer portions are not manually changed. It does not apply to standing orders or custom menu items. 

If the Forecast by Dining Area is not selected, the production worksheet only contains one column for forecasting values. If it is selected, then the production worksheet contains separate columns for forecasting values for each dining area including Eats In Room. This allows you to break down forecasting values by dining area, which is helpful when trays of food need to be delivered from the main kitchen to satellite dining areas.

  1. Facility Setup > Production Areas > Forecasting Setup.

  2. Complete the fields as required.

  3. Click Save & Close.

  • Default Buffer % - Type information. Defaults to 5%. If you do not want buffer portions calculated, you can change the % value to zero.

  • Forecast by Dining Area - Select option.
