Managing Menu Schedules

This screen contains configuration settings for Menu Setup for Menu Schedules. You can set up which menu set you serve from a particular kitchen and when, to ensure the ordering screen reflects the correct menu items available during that time period.

  1. Facility Setup > Menu Setup > Menu Schedule.

  2. Click Add Schedule.

  • Kitchen - Select option.

  • Menu Set - Select option.

  • Start Date - Select option.

  • End Date - Select option.

  • You can select overlapping dates for menu schedules if you are serving more than one menu.

    • For example, you have a holiday menu that is available along with your regular menu rotation on July 4th. You can add that holiday menu as a menu schedule with a start date of July 4th and an end date of July 4th. Items from this menu are available in the ordering screen along with your current cycle menu. This is best practice if your resident base is select menu type. 

    • If your resident base is a mix of non-select and select, you need to go to the Menu Schedule screen and change the end date of your seasonal cycle to yesterday’s date. Then when auto-suggesting, it only retrieves main choice menu items from holiday menu. Once the holiday meals are over, return to Menu Schedule and change end date of seasonal menu back to its original end date. 

  • Your start date should fall on the same day of the week that you defined as your First Menu Day in Company Details.
