Completing Mandatory Activities

Mandatory activities are activities you add when creating a lead rather than adding after you save lead details. When mandatory activities are setup in your organization for CRM, you must enter at least one activity before saving your lead record. Activities include calls, tasks, appointments, emails, and tours. When activities are mandatory, the activities section of the lead record is expanded. 

You can add additional detail to the activity such as adding a subject and entering a date and time. In addition, there is a text box to type more information not already listed. For certain activity types, such as a call, you must enter a lead contact before saving activities.

Mandatory activities are set up at the Management Console in CRM setup > CRM Configuration. 

  1. Do one of the following:

    • Single facility: CRM > Leads > New > Add Lead > Activities.

    • Multi-facility: Management Console > CRM > Leads > New > Add Lead > Activities.
